今年美術展に行かれ、ウガンダの子どもたちの絵を鑑賞された方の感想を紹介します。
「枇杷倶楽部のギャラリーは2つの部屋に分かれていました。一方の部屋の入ってすぐのところに、ウガンダ支援コーナーがありました。
ウガンダの子どもたちの楽しげな作品たちから、元気をもらいました。私はウガンダの子どもたちの絵が印刷された絵ハガキを購入しました。『ウガンダの子どもたちの絵が欲しい』『他の絵ハガキも欲しい』という声も上がっていました。
『安房・平和のための美術展』に出品されている人たちの作品から、より強い思いやメッセージを感じました。展示されているすべての作品は、『平和』という大きなテーマを訴えかけてきているようでした。」

来年、安房南高校から始まったウガンダ交流・支援活動は20年の節目を迎えます。この機会に、長い間にわたって積み重ねてきた活動を振り返るとともに、今後の交流や支援のあり方を見つめなおしたいと考えています。
そのため、今回、「安房・平和のための美術展」実行委員会の方々のご協力とご理解を得て、来場された方々に、ウガンダ支援についてのアンケートや子どもたちの絵の感想を書いていただきました。ご協力いただいた方々、本当にありがとうございました。

“Art Exhibition for Peace in Awa” was held from Aug 23rd to Sept 1st at Biwa-kurabu. Paintings by Ugandan children were also displayed there.
We will introduce the thoughts of the person who went to the art exhibition this year and watch paintings of children in Uganda.

There were corner of Uganda Supporting activity, and I got courage from paintings by Ugandan children. I bought picture postcards which were used paintings by Ugandan children. I heard some visitors said “I want paintings by Ugandan children.” “I want another kind of picture postcards.”
I felt strong wish and message from all art works which exhibited “Art Exhibition for Peace in Awa”. All art works seemed to appeal a big theme of “Peace”.

Next year, Uganda supporting activity which started Awa-Minami High School will reach the milestone of 20 years. We want to reflect our activities and think our exchanges of future.

学校で遊んでいる様子や動物の絵など、カラフルで明るい絵が増えてきました。
未来を創っていく子どもたちの目は、ウガンダ社会が内戦から復興、平和へと歩んでいる
ことを見ているといえるのではないでしょうか。

8月23日(金)から9月1日(日)まで、第9回安房・平和のための美術展が開催されます。場所は、千葉県南房総市富浦町の道の駅とみうら枇杷倶楽部ギャラリー・展示室です。入場は無料です。
今年の美術展のポスターにもウガンダの子どもたちが描いた絵が用いられました。安房高校JRC部の皆さんが送った長縄で子どもたちが遊んでいる様子が描かれています。

【Diary】 Art Exhibition for Peace in Awa will be held from the end of next month!!
“ART FOR THE EARTH 2013 – Art Exhibition for Peace in Awa-“ will be held from August 23rd to September 1st,2013. The location is Biwa-Kurabu Gallery Exhibition Room of Station Road, Tomiura Town, Minamiboso City, Chiba Pref. Admission is free.
Picture painted by child in Uganda was also used for the poster of Art Exhibition in this year. Ugandan children play jumping rope which was sent by JRC club at Awa High School.

The Art Exhibition started at 2005 and it will reach nine times in this year. It started by artists who is related to Awa region and they think what can we do for “Peace”? In this year, more than 70 artists will join, so we can see art works of various genres such as oil paintings, watercolor paintings, photographs, ceramic arts, and sculptures. Paintings by Ugandan children are also displayed. We are so excited!!

ポスターには、支援を続けてきたウガンダの子どもたちの絵が用いられました。

ポスターの絵に描かれている鳥は、ウガンダの国鳥である「カンムリヅル」です。
平和のための美術展は、安房地域にゆかりのあるアーティストたちが集まり、世界の平和と
人々の幸せを願って2005年より毎年行われています。今年は約60名のアーティストが参加し、
油彩画、水彩画、写真、陶芸、人形、彫刻など様々なジャンルの作品が並びました。
どの作品にも「 美しい地球と平和をいつまでも」という強い想いが込められています。
作品等の売り上げによる収益は、「東日本大震災の復興支援金」と「ウガンダの子どもたち」に
役立てられます。
美術展の会場には、ウガンダの子どもたちの絵や安房南洋裁学校などの写真も展示されました。

“ART FOR THE EARTH 2012 – Art Exhibition for Peace in Awa-”
was held from August 31th to September 9th, 2012. Picture painted by
children in Uganda was used for the poster of Art Exhibition for Peace
in Awa in this year.

This Art Exhibition is held every year since 2005. Artists who attend
this Art Exhibition hope for the world peace and the happiness of people.
About 60 artists attended this Art Exhibition in this year, and various
genres such as oil paintings, watercolor paintings, photographs, ceramic art,
dolls, and sculptures was displayed. All Artists put strong feelings of
“foever beautiful planet and peace” into their works. The proceeds from an
exhibition of works would be made use of children in Uganda and financial
support for the Great East Japan Earthquake Reconstruction.

School etc. were also displayed there.

8月26日にNPO安房文化遺産フォーラムのメンバーの親睦を兼ねて、
ウガンダの安房南洋裁学校の支援バザーが開催されました。支援バザーは、
かにた婦人の村の協力を得て行われました。約30名が集まり、和やかで
楽しい会となりました。

English Summary
A social gathering by members of NPO (Awa Cultural and
Heritage Forum) and supporting bazaar of Awa-Minami Tailoring
School in Uganda were held on August 26th. Supporting bazaar
was done with the cooperation of the Kanita Women’s Village.
About 30 members gathered in this event, and it was peaceful
and enjoyable meeting.
