かにた婦人の村の皆さまへ
メリークリスマスそして2017年の新年おめでとうございます。
皆さまがCUFIへの募金にかかわっていただいたことを愛沢伸雄様から聞きました。この機会を利用し、皆さまの基金が私たちの団体の口座にきちんと届き、皆さまの惜しみない親切な行為に私たちはとてもよろこんでいることを報告させてください。私たちを今日まで守ってくれた神に感謝をささげます。
私ははるか昔の1994年に初めて「かにた婦人の村」を訪問したことを鮮明に覚えています。そして神が私たちを結びつけてくれて以来22年が経っています。そして、この間、あらゆる努力でこのつながりを保ち、活動がしっかり続けられていることに対して、愛沢伸雄氏にも感謝をします。皆さまに神のご加護を。「かにた婦人の村」が50年を超えて活動を続けていることに対してお祝い申し上げます。
神が良き仕事を引き続き皆さまの手に委ねますよう、そして良き健康と喜びを与えますように。添付の写真には、メデの私たちの教会、望みの種と呼ばれている教会が写っています。それはマンゴーの木の下にまだあり、私たちが支援し教育の費用を支払っている子どもたちの出身はこの地域なのです。彼らは皆さまに挨拶と感謝を送り、2017年の皆さまの新年の幸せを願っています。

A thank you message for the charity funds raised by you.
Dear Kanita Women Village,
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2017.
I was informed by Mr. Nobuo Aizawa that you were involved in the charity
fund raising that was sent to Consciousness Uganda Foundation. I take this
time to say that the funds were well received on our organization account
and also inform you that we were so pleased by your generous and kindness
gesture. We give thanks to the Lord who has kept us up to this day.
I vividly remember my first visit to Kanita way back in 1994 and now it is
22 years since the Lord connected us together. We also give thanks to
Mr.Nobuo Aizawa who has with all his effort kept this connection alive and
burning. May the good Lord bless you all.We want to congratulate
KANITA WOMEN VILLAGE for being in service for over 50 years.
May the Lord continue to put good work in your hands and
give you good health and joy.
The photo attached, shows our Church at Mede called seeds of hope Church.
It is still under a mango tree and it is at this community that the children that
we support and pay for their education come from .

高校生がウガンダ支援・交流を始めて22年。
支援には長い目が必要ですが、多くの場合、時間の経過とともにボランティアの数や
活動も縮小しがちです。
でも、今でも高校生の活動を支えて、応援してくれる地域の人がいる心強さ…。
「小さいことでも継続的にみんなでやる」
「支援の文化」が少しずつ育っている証拠でしょうか。
ウガンダにみんなの思いが届きますように・・・
10月2日館山病院感謝祭にて、安房西高校JRC部と健康友の会で、
ウガンダ支援バザーを開催。
かにた婦人の村や地域の方々から物品の提供をいただき、
衣類や文具、古本などを販売しました。
また、これまでの活動の様子やウガンダから届いた子どもたちの絵や写真等も展示して、
立ち寄ってみてくださった方からは励ましの言葉もいただきました。
今年もまた、多くの方々から温かいご支援・ご協力をいただき、
バザーの収益 33,280円
ご寄付 28,427円
集まりました！！
集まったお金は、支援金として、支援先ウガンダ意識向上財団（CUFI）を通じて、
ウガンダの子どもたちのために使われます。
≪Uganda Supporting Bazaar≫
In Oct 2nd, JRC members of Awa-Nishi high school held it at Tateyama hospital.
Kanita women’s village and citizen provided a lot of goods to raize funds.
Thanks to all, we can send them and it will be used for children in Uganda.
ウガンダ北部メデ村。
メデに住む農家の人たちによるハンドメイドのぬくもりあるバスケットの写真を送ってくれました。
アフリカでは、昔から手作りのバスケットがたくさん作られているそうです。
国によって素材やデザイン、作り方もさまざま。天然素材を生かした素朴な物が多く、すべてハンドメイドなので丈夫で温かみを感じます。

私たちの子どもの２人をあなたに紹介します。１人はシャーと呼ばれ左端の写真で私と一緒にいます。こちらはオティムの兄弟で、彼は今エンテベ近くのキスビ神学校のシニア５年生です。これはこの郡で一流校の一つで、粒よりの学生だけを受け入れています。シャーはこの学校の上位学生の１人で、多くの人々が彼に注目していることをあなたに伝えることができて嬉しいです。
次の写真にはチャールスという名前の若い少年がいます。彼もまたしばらくの間私たちと共にいて、多くの面で私たちは彼の世話に貢献しています。彼は今中部地区に創立されたルウェロディストリクトで学んでいて、シニア３年生です。彼はできる限り本に取り組んでいて、激励も必要です。
残りの写真はキャサリン、オティムが私たちの訪問の間に行われた学校音楽祭でミュージックダンスとドラマに取り組んでいるところを表しています。
これらの子どもたちを村から彼らが通う全寮制学校へ連れて行く努力の中で、添付写真でおわかりのように、それはたやすいことではありません。私たちはこの川を渡らねばならず、これを通り抜けるしか他に道はありません。このことは私たちの車を傷めてしまい、あなたに何回も修理のお願いをすることになるので、間もなくそれを取り替える検討をすることになると思います。でもそれは長い間多くの面で私たちの役に立ち、感謝しています。
≪Emglish Summary≫
Music, Dance and Drama
In these photos, I am glad to introduce to you two of our children. One is called Shaa who appears on your far left with me in the photo. This is the brother to Otim and he is now in senior 5 in Kisubi seminary near Entebbe. This is one of the top schools in the Country and it takes the cream of students. Shaa is one of the top students in this school and I am glad to inform you that many people are putting their eyes on him.
Next to that picture is another young boy by the name of Charles Wokorach. He has also been with us for some time now and we are continuing looking after him in many ways. He is now studying in Luwero District found in the central region and he is in senior 3. He tries as much as he can in his books and requires some encouragement as well.
The other photos shows Catherine, Otim being involved in music dance and drama at their school music festival that was held during our visit there.
In the effort of getting these children from the village to the boarding school that they go to, it is not easy as you can see in the photo attached. We have to cross this river and there is no other way but to go through this . This has damaged our car and soon we will be trying to replace it since it is beginning to ask for repair very often, but it has served us in many ways and we give thank for it.

最初の写真に、私との集合写真にソロモンとジェーンそしてキャサリンという名前の成長した生徒たちがいます。たいてい私は学期の終わりに北部に行き子どもたちが村に戻る手配をし、学校の休暇が終わると北部に戻り、彼らの学校必需品を手に入れ学費を銀行に支払います。銀行伝票でおわかりのように多額の現金が関わっていることから、私はそれを個人的に行っています。
２番目の写真は私たちのフィールドオフィサー、ピーター氏で、視察日に子どもたちを訪問します。彼はよく働く若者で、彼が私たちと共に働いてくれることはとても幸せです。
３番目の写真は私たちが支援しているもう１人の子どもで、名前をオティムといいグルのパウルス２世大学の３年生です。
４番目の写真はソロモンです。北部のジュバロード沿線に創立されたリストアリーダーシップ高校と呼ばれる学校での写真です。
≪English Summary≫
School fees support towards the Mede orphans
In the first picture is the group photo of me with the grown up students by the names of Solomon, Jane and Catherine. Usually I travel to the North during the end of the school term to make arrangement for the children to go back to the village and then after the school holidays I travel back to the North to get their school requirements and also pay their school fees in the bank. I do that personally because of the big amount of cash involved as you can see on the bank slips. attached also is one of the reports of our students. this one belongs to Catherine Amono who is doing well in her studies as well as others.
the second photo shows our field officer Mr. Peter who visits the children during visitation days. He is a hard working young man and we are so happy having him working with us. The third photo shows another child we support and his name is Otim and he is in senior three in Pope Paul II College in Gulu.. The fifth photo is that of Solomon at his school called Restore Leadership High School which is found along Juba rood in North.
